How do I book?
Book online at commaspaces.com — select your location, treatment, and preferred therapist. At checkout, choose to pay in full or pay in-store. Have a voucher? Enter your code at booking to use it in full or put it toward your total.
Do I need to confirm my appointment?
Yes. All appointments must have a verified payment method attached in order to be confirmed, at least 24 hours prior to your appointment start time. Any bookings without a confirmed payment method will be automatically cancelled the day before.
How do I book for two people?
Massage only: Select the 60, 75 or 90-minute Couples Massage. Leave a note if you're friends rather than a couple — you can choose your specific treatments on the day. Bath house only: Select 'Like the Finns Do' or 'The Way of Light' — both have a friends/couples option. Bath house + massage: Select your bath house package and add a Couples 60, 75 or 90-minute massage. Note in the booking if you'd prefer separate treatment rooms. How do I book with a voucher?
At the time of booking, select 'pay now in full', edit payment method and select 'add gift card' — you can add your gift card code here as payment. If your voucher has been added to your Fresha wallet, you can select the voucher at the time of booking. If the gift card doesn't cover the full amount, you'll need to enter your credit card details and the remaining balance will be charged at the time of booking.
What are your treatment time options?
Treatments run for 60, 75, 90 or 105 minutes, up to a maximum of two hours. A two-hour treatment must include either a Signature or Not So Standard treatment (60 or 90 min) paired with a facial.
I'm not sure what treatment I want — what should I book? Pick a time length — 60, 75 or 90 minutes and we'll walk you through everything when you arrive. The only thing we need to know in advance: if you're pregnant, or if you'd like The Calm Visage Facial, as both require a specifically trained therapist.
Can I combine treatments?
Yes, your booking time is yours to work with. A 90-minute slot might look like a 60-minute Equilibrium + The New Face (15 min) + Can I Have a Foot Massage (15 min). Mix and match as you like. The maximum length for body treatments is two hours.
Do you offer couples treatments?
Yes. When booking online, scroll to the bottom of the menu and select 'Couples Massage' — this locks you in together at the same time. You're welcome to choose your actual treatments when you arrive. In Melbourne we have one couples room, so it's subject to availability. Let us know in your booking notes whether you need to be together or are happy in separate rooms.
What's a bath house?
Our bath house is a space for you to bathe, soak, scrub, sweat, plunge and be immersed. We welcome you to experience the healing power of water.
What's the difference between 'Like the Finns Do' and 'The Way of Light'?
Both include the magnesium hot tub, traditional Finnish sauna, cold pail shower, cold plunge and heated stone hammam. The Way of Light adds exclusive use of the infrared sauna.
Is the bath house private?
The bath house is communal and unisex. Melbourne accommodates up to five guests per session. If you're the only booking, it's all yours — otherwise you'll share the space and rotate through the facilities together. If you'd like to book it out exclusively, get in touch.
Is your bath house a quiet space?
Yes, our bath house is designed to be a calm and quiet space for relaxation. We kindly ask guests to keep conversations soft and respectful of others enjoying the space. While we're not a silent retreat, we do encourage a peaceful atmosphere throughout.
What do I wear?
Swimwear in the bath house. We provide a robe, slides, scrub, refreshments and towels.
What do you provide?
We provide towels, salt scrub, slides, a robe and refreshments. All you need to bring is your swimwear. If you book for our 60-minute bath house option, we provide everything except for a robe and slides.
What facilities does Melbourne have?
Our bath house has a heated stone hammam, 90℃ traditional Finnish sauna, one pail shower, an 8℃ cold plunge, 40℃ magnesium hot tub, five treatment rooms and bathrooms.
Do you have showers?
One shower in our gender-neutral bathroom and two showers in our bath house.
Where can I buy a voucher?
Head to commaspaces.com and select Vouchers. If you'd like one posted, select 'Via Post' at checkout.
Do you sell physical vouchers?
Yes, we can sell these in-house. Otherwise you're welcome to buy one online and we can post it out to you.
What can I use my voucher for?
You're welcome to use it toward anything at Comma — bath house, a treatment or product. Vouchers are non-transferable.
Does my gift card have an expiration?
Yes. All gift cards are valid for a strict period of three (3) years from the date of purchase, in line with consumer law. We do not offer personal exceptions or extensions for expired vouchers under any circumstances. If you are having trouble booking before your voucher expires, please contact us prior to the expiration date. In some cases, we may be able to assist you in using your voucher toward product purchases (additional shipping costs apply). Alternatively, vouchers are transferable and may be gifted to a friend or family member.

Where do I park?
Parking can be challenging, particularly mid-week, so we strongly encourage the use of rideshare services or public transport where possible. Parking options nearby include two-hour free street parking on Hill Street and surrounding streets, limited four-hour parking on Adelaide Street, and paid parking on Church Street. If you do decide to drive, please allow extra travel and parking time — we frequently see delays from guests who have allowed 30–40 minutes and are still arriving late. We cannot adjust appointment times for late arrivals due to parking. If you are booked for a longer appointment, please keep in mind that most nearby parking is limited to two hours.
How do I get there by public transport?
The 78 tram is just a two-minute walk away. Tram 70, Richmond Station, and East Richmond Station are also all within walking distance.
Can I book a treatment if I'm pregnant?
Yes, of course. Our Cumulus Treatment is our pregnancy massage and we'd also recommend our Calm Visage Facial.
Can I use the bath house if I'm pregnant?
Unfortunately we don't recommend using our bath house whilst pregnant.
I'm currently taking medication — am I able to bathe?
Always check with your medical practitioner before visiting.
I need to cancel my appointment — what is your policy?
Any appointments cancelled or rescheduled within 24 hours of the booking time will incur a 50% cancellation fee. If we are able to rebook the appointment, your cancellation fee will be waived and can be credited toward a future booking. If the appointment remains unfilled, 50% of the total appointment cost will be charged. Cancellations or reschedule requests made outside of our operating hours will be responded to during business hours.
I missed my appointment — do you have a no-show fee?
Yes. No-shows are charged at 100% of the total appointment cost. If you attempt to cancel after the appointment start time, it will also be treated as a no-show and the full fee will apply.
On arrival I want to shorten my treatment length — can I do this?
No. We are unable to make changes to the length of bookings within 24 hours of the appointment start time due to scheduling constraints. This also applies if you arrive late. We will always aim to make up any missed time where possible, however this cannot be guaranteed. You will still be charged the full amount of your scheduled booking.
Do you offer refunds on gift cards or products?
All sales are final. We will offer a refund or replacement for faulty or damaged products within 5 days of purchase. Please contact us at hello@commaspaces.com and include photos of the item. All gift voucher sales are final and cannot be refunded, exchanged for cash, or used to purchase additional gift cards.
